Listen Sonny Can You Hear Me Well

There are many car audio system manufacturers but the most recognized are mostly Japanese and amongst these is the Sony car audio.

Two Japanese entrepreneurs founded the company and whilst thinking of a name for the fledgling business came up with Sony for two reasons. The first reason is that it looks very much like the Latin word for sound and the second reason is that this was a time when Americans used sonny as a slang word to great each other.

Well there are weirder company names derived from dafter ideas but this one is now one of the world’s most recognized brands and highly unlikely to change.

With car audio and now visual systems getting better by the year it could be that your old banger deserves an audio update.

At the very least an interface kit to allow your smart device to be plugged in so that the music you listen to is your own favorite and not those of the DJ on the radio, should be fitted.

When that is done it will probable occur that the sounds are disappointing compared with your home system or even just earphones. Some of the latter have advanced outside noise cancellation and consequently the results can be very impressive but they should never be worn whilst driving for obvious safety reasons.

If you take a look at the Sony and other equipment available at In Car Music then maybe it is time to consider a quick cost-up of everything you will need to hugely boost the quality and output of your in-car entertainment.

It does not necessarily work out as too expensive but don’t forget there are three component parts of any good sound system and these are the speakers, the amplifier and the source.

Each part should be as good as the next so only a fool would part with a lot of cash for a brand new powerful amplifier without replacing old speakers with new.

Apart from the improvement it can also be fun fitting a new audio system in the car but don’t forget dampening to improve sound even further.

In A Blast Around The Capital

The car offers a great acoustical environment and the fact that we can now take tens or hundreds of thousands of downloads of favourite music on so many smart devices like iPods and iPhones means that for many of us the car can be a better place to listen than home.

Factory fitted systems are at most adequate but for the real audiophile there are many ways for it to be improved upon at relatively little cost for what can be gained.

For improved car audio London the place to visit is the In Car Music Company where a vast collection of new equipment from all the major manufacturers is available to view and buy.

If you are looking for any interface equipment, speakers or amplifiers along with all the latest security equipment and parking aids then you will find it all here.

The latest and very best head phones bring a stunning quality of sound but wearing headphones in the car is dangerous and doubtless illegal. You need to be able to hear some outside traffic noises if only a blast of the horn of someone about to rear-end you!

On the other hand you will also want to have the same quality of sound in the car that you can get from good headphones so the first thing you will want to do is fit a decent amplifier with plenty of output and replace or at least add to the speakers in the car.

A boot with a top of the range amplifier and extra-large speakers needs to be securely locked. Before you know it the value of the sound system may be greater and therefore more attractive to an opportunistic thief than the car.

When you hear a loud thumping sound system coming from the next street it usually means the attention seeking driver has not spent much time or effort thinking about dampening the sound with good insulation.

This is a weekend job that anyone can do and is always worth doing as the improved sound will attest.
