Get Good Vibrations

Wi-Fi has made mobile communication so much easier and music downloads means quick access to all the very latest releases at the expense of high street retailers.

In-car entertainment makes even the longest of journeys more bearable and the better the sound the quicker it passes.

If you have not already got iPhone car interface kits fitted oriPod then this is the place to buy at In Car Music.

These inexpensive little kits will ensure that all your favourite music can be played in the car through the existing amp and speaker system but if you want to improve on the quality of sound even further then take a look here at the many car speakers for sale.

With little effort that music can be made to roll around the car with better effect than most home Hi-Fi systems.

The beauty of the car is that surround sound is easy to obtain but it helps if you know exactly which woofers and tweeters work to best effect.

There are component speakers and co-axial ones to consider and it is important to get the right ones to create that surround sound effect.

If you are not an expert in reproducing the best sound then read these pages carefully and research the different qualities of the many speakers on sale. On the other hand, if you live anywhere around London then perhaps you would be better off visiting the store and fitting centre and talking to those who know all about these things.

Online shopping is brilliant as long as you know exactly what it is you require but sometimes it is better to see the goods before you buy.

It is also better that the installation of enhanced car Hi-Fi is left to people who do this for a living. They will be able to advise what is best for your particular make of car and model making sure you get maximum quality of sound.

The car is a perfect environment for music and it is almost a shame not to make the most of that fact.

Keep Up With The Times

Browsing through vintage cars for sale the other day I came across a fully restored Daimler 250 V8 saloon.
For those who cannot remember that far back it was a classic late nineteen-sixty exact copy of the Jaguar that Inspector Morse used to drive but in some ways rarer and considered less flash.

Being driven to the airport at the age of ten in my wealthy uncles Daimler I distinctly remember the tick of the clock above the almost silent engine. This was a beautiful car and way better than anything Daimler or Jaguar produced over the following couple of decades.

What struck me was the quality sound of the radio. No cassettes or CDs in those distant times but just the BBC plum voice of a continuity announcer, no doubt standing to attention and wearing a dinner suit with bow tie as they did in those days.

This vintage restoration is for sale in full working condition and hopefully will go to someone who will really appreciate it. In order to bring it up to date it has something extra to the original nineteen sixties spec; the radio has been removed and a new MP3 with iPod car interface kits are in its place along with the iPhone equivalent and a whole new speaker system to give a perfect surround sound.

What would uncle have made of that if he was still around especially if there was a giant woofer and a couple of super tweeters fitted and some loud latter day pop group sprang into life.

Perhaps these alterations were made by the In Car Music Company in Leyton East London. Their web site offers every type of equipment to improve sound and Wi-Fi devices as well as upgrade speakers, amps and a dozen other things that can improve the communications, sounds and visual devices in the car.

Apart from every type of fitting kit for iPods and iPhones they have some of the very best replacement headrests incorporating 7 inch wide screen LCD with DVD wireless game controller for the entertainment of back seat passengers.

Get More From Your Car Stereo

Many years ago the car stereo was just an afterthought and most cars were not fitted with them as standard until the nineteen sixties. In the seventies and eighties cassette players were definitely extra costs until the nineties when the CD replaced that piece of technology.

The luxury cars had all of these as standard and today the most expensive luxury cars in the world have sound systems that cost as much as a new small car.

It seems you cannot have too much of a good sound and there are many reasons for this. The first is that the systems themselves have improved dramatically over recent years. The quality of amplifiers and speakers ensures remarkable quality of sound.

The clarity of in-car music knows no bounds and the good news is that to install the best does not have to cost an arm and a leg.

Take a look at all that is available at the long established In Car Music store on these pages and you get an idea how easily you can improve your factory fitted system.

Everything you need from a huge assortment of speakers to iPod and iPhone fittings along with car stereo fitting kits are here.

All DVD and navigation equipment including the very latest top of the range 2DIN iPhone ready CD MP3 DVD/USB Kenwood is in stock.

If you live within Greater London or surrounding countryside then do consider visiting the store and fitting centre as it is better to have experienced professionals to fit new equipment unless you have a good knowledge of electronics and speaker/ amp outputs.

Along with stereo fitting kits that consist of the fascia panel, aerial adapter, ISO wiring or steering wheel interface with stereo removal keys, the business carries many anti-theft devices, alarms and tracking devices.

Sensors for reverse parking are also in stock as are camera systems for the same purpose. From a good sound system to a truly brilliant sound system not only improves the driving experience but is guaranteed to bring a smile of pleasure to any passenger lucky enough to hear it.

Get Full Surround Sound

The latest generation of speakers and amplifiers helps create sounds in the car never heard before. The quality of some of the top brands available here can turn a car into a music concert hall.

The mix of tweeters, woofers, mid-woofers and mid-range speakers can all help create sound that will have you sitting in your car even when there is nowhere to go. In fact, with the miserable cold winter and excessive home heating bills it is not unheard of for people to sit in their car with the engine at idle and heaters on.

Add to this a top sound system and a comfortable reclined seat and what better way is there to spend a couple of hours on a miserable day. An engine in just idle mode uses less electricity or gas in home heating so perhaps we could solve the problem of expensive housing by living in an RV fitted with top of the range audio/visual systems.

With fitting kits that allow you to plug in your iPhone or iPod it is possible to blast out all your favourites.
At In Car Music discreet modifications can be made to the factory audio system or indiscreet giant woofers can fill the boot. Screens can be fitted onto the back of the front two seats for the entertainment of kids on long journeys.

All alterations to the existing car speakers can be personalised to allow any type of wireless device including the very latest in GPS systems. All your Apps can help pass away the hours and that Summer Bank Holiday traffic hold-up does not have to be such a drag.

Take a look around this online site and consider the ways you can improve your car. Everything can be bought online but if you are within range of the workshop in Leyton then perhaps you should visit as there is nothing likes talking over the goods with an experienced fitter who will also be able to advise on the best equipment for your particular make and model of car.

Picking the Best Stereo for Your Car: How to Make the Right Choices

If you spend a lot of time in your car – and if you live in the UK and commute, we’re sure you do –, it makes sense to have an in-car stereo. You can listen to your favourite music, listen to your favourite podcasts, and listen to talking stories. It’s a much more enjoyable way to travel. Choosing car stereos is relative easy, but there are a few things that you need to consider. Here, we have provided you with a brief guideline to help you to make the process easier, and to help you to make the best choices.

Set Your Budget
There are thousands of car stereos on the market. This makes it difficult to make a decision. With so many options, we can get confused and this, unfortunately, can lead to making some wrong decisions. One way that you can help to reduce your choices is by setting yourself a budget. You know how much money you can afford to spend, so you set this as a limit. There are a few things that you need to remember:

1.       Remember to account for all the accessories, as well as the stereo itself.

2.       Remember to buy the highest quality equipment that your budget allows. Quality will affect the sound quality; the lower quality audio equipment will not produce as crisp a sound as the higher quality equipment.
3.       Remember that quality and price are not necessarily linked. Sometimes you pay over the odds for a low quality system because it is made by a certain brand. Other times you pay less for something that is much more valuable. Therefore, we recommend that you do some research into good quality car audio systems, rather than basing your decisions solely on the price or on the brand.

4.       When setting your budget consider that you may have to pay for an installation service, which can be expensive.

Think about the Connections
With car stereos there are now two general formats: mp3 & cd. In the past, you could buy mini-disc players and tape decks, but these are now largely obsolete. Modern stereos often have USB connectors, and we certainly advise buying such a stereo because you can then connect your phone, mp3 players, tablets, and various other accessories directly to your in-car audio systems. Both CD and mp3 stereos can have a USB connection – we recommend that you make sure your model does. USB is going to be around for a while, so the technology is unlikely to become obsolete…unlike CDs, which are well on their way out.

Another type of connection that you can get is Bluetooth. With this, you can connect compatible devices (such as your tablet & phone if they run on Bluetooth) wirelessly using the Bluetooth technology. This means doing without USB connections entirely. However, the technology is not quite up to scratch to warrant a Bluetooth device with no other type of connection, such as USB.

What You Can Do With Your Phone in Your Car

The title does sound a bit off to be fair, but we’re talking about everyday things that you can use your phone for in the car. These are things that you may not think your phone capable of, or that you might have overlooked as a function. Phones, as you know, are no longer used exclusively for their phone function, and there are many ways in which they can help make your driving life more interesting. Here, we’re going to look at some of the ways that your phone can help your driving experience.

Satnav
If you’ve every bought a satnav, you’ll know that they're fairly reasonably priced. A basic satnav will cost, on average, between £60 & £200. However, even though they may be fairly cheap (although, many of us would struggle to purchase even the lower end models) they're an expense that you don’t have to have. Instead, you can use your phone as a satnav. Most modern smart phones allow you to download satnav application. You can then use a docking station to mount the phone and use it as a satnav. Before you do this, though, research your phone and research potential apps, as they are not all equal: some apps are better than others are, and certain services may incur roaming charges, so do check.

MP3 Player
This is one that you all should know, but your smart phone can act as an in car mp3 player. Some people will connect their phones to their stereos using a USB connection (with modern stereos, at least), but the best way to get high functionality is to use an interface kit, such as the iPhone car interface kits. The iPhone car interface kits allow you to have much more control over the phone via a control panel. You can then play music the same way that you would through your phone.

MP4 Player
So, most people know that they can plug their phones in to their stereos and play mp3 files, but modern cars will also allow people to connect their smartphones and tablets and play mp4 formats (video & sound). Being able to play video in your car will increase your driving experience tenfold. But, you can’t watch videos and drive; so unfortunately, the benefits are to the passengers only.

Unlock Your Car
Did you know that you could use your phone to unlock your keys if you accidently leave your keys somewhere that there is another person who has access to a phone (that sounds incredibly convoluted!). For instance, say you're at work and you leave your keys on the desk, you’re colleague in the next desk down has access to your keys. You can phone your colleague, tell them to get the keys and then instruct them to press the unlock button down the phone. The signal will travel down the phone and will open the car. This sounds mad, but it has something to do with the infrared spectrum.
